Longi Green Energy has achieved a new world record for the conversion efficiency of self-developed HIBC (Hybrid Interdigitated Back Contact) solar cells.
- The Milestone: According to certification from the Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) in Germany, the cell's efficiency has reached 28.13%, surpassing their previous record of 28.04% set in January 2026.
- Module Performance: Based on this technology, the module efficiency has also broken records, reaching 26.4% as certified by the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
- Significance: This achievement narrows the gap with the theoretical limit of crystalline silicon cells and paves the way for more cost-effective, high-efficiency commercial photovoltaic applications.
